The 83rd Venice International Film Festival returns to the Lido from 2 to 12 September 2026, bringing ten days of world cinema, artistic ambition and, naturally, a particularly well-dressed crowd. This year’s festival opens with the highly anticipated world premiere of Danny Boyle’s Ink, setting the tone for an edition that places independent and international filmmaking firmly in the spotlight. With socially conscious stories, bold creative voices and a distinguished international jury led by filmmaker Maggie Gyllenhaal, Venice once again proves that cinema can be both a cultural conversation and a very glamorous occasion.
Of course, where there are premieres, there are celebrities. And where there are celebrities, there are sunglasses worth keeping an eye on. From the red carpet to arrivals along the Lido, Pretavoir will be tracking the best celebrity eyewear spotted at the 2026 Venice Film Festival throughout the event, bringing you daily updates on the frames worn by its most stylish attendees. Consider this your front-row seat to Venice, with the sunglasses getting their own share of the spotlight.
